Web9 Feb 2024 · Prior to the GCA of 1968, firearms manufacturers were not required to utilize serial numbers. I have had quite a few pistols, rifles and shotguns come through sans serial numbers. Restoring it to original condition does not, repeat, not increase the value of a gun. It merely makes it look good.
